Creating a Task on an HTML Page

A Workflow Task can be created from an open HTML page by clicking on the "Create a Task" button in the left hand column of the HTML page.

Clicking the "Create a Task" button opens a Workflow Task that is automatically associated with HTML page.

The user opening the Workflow Task assigned to them will be able to open and even perform actions on the HTML page, directly from the Workflow Task, without having to search for the HTML page in the Content Search Manager.

The example below shows an HTML page related Workflow Task being assigned to a specific backend user. It is important to note however that Workflow Tasks can also be assigned to a user "Role" as well to target a particular group of users in the "Assignee" field.

Workflow Tasks that have been created on HTML pages are displayed in the Workflow Tasks Window on the HTML page when viewed in Edit Mode.  The current Workflow Tasks on the HTML page can be opened by clicking on the Workflows Task Link as shown in the highlighted image to the left.
