System Roles

System roles are not different in nature from any other roles created in the dotCMS, what makes them system roles is that they are by default deployed on the dotCMS as it is installed to cover the basic sets of permissioning required for initial set-up of a dotCMS web site. These roles include the CMS Anonymous, CMS Amin, and CMS User roles.

You'll be able to discern system roles from other roles by the asterisk '*' next to them.
