Tag and Category Fields
Website Administrators may make Tag and Category fields may be made available to content contributors, if it is determined that they are necessary for the Content Type. For information on how to create Tag or Category fields in a Structure, please see the Adding Fields to a Content Structure documentation.
- The Tag Field - the Tag field allows content contributors to label content by typing keywords that pertain to the content. Users may type multiple keywords, separating each keyword with a comma and a space between each keyword. To the right of a Tag field a list of matching "Suggested Tags:" will be automatically generated after typing at least three letters of a keyword. In the example image below, typing "dot" generates the suggested Tags to the right of the Tag field. Clicking on the desired "dotCMS Technology" keywords in the suggested Tags area will place it in the Tag area automatically. Tag fields are usually utilized by user keyword searches or Tag Clouds to display content on HTML pages.
- The Category Field - Category fields are lists of pre-defined ways to label a specific kind of content. In the example image below, the Category Field displays a list of 4 pre-defined Categories. Clicking on one of them, in this case "Conferences", applies the Category label to the content as soon as it is saved or published. Category fields are typically used when the content being created is pulled dynamically by the individual Categories on several different webpages. Using this powerful taxonomy method, content contributors can publish content that will dynamically appear on HTML pages without ever visiting the HTML page itself.

Is there a way to remove unwanted words from a tag list? For example in the calendar?
