Website Browser

Access and viewing of dotCMS backend pages is based upon each user's role permissions.  Users who do not have the dotCMS administrator role or who have been given limited roles may not have access to view all of the dotCMS functionality described herein.  For more details on user roles and permissions please see the Managing Users, Roles, Pages and Permissions section of the dotCMS documentation.

The Website Browser allows users of the dotCMS content management system to create and easily locate files, folders, HTML Pages, Menu Links, Containers, and Templates.  For ease of navigation, the Website Browser has been divided into the six sub-tabs - Browser, HTML Pages, Files, Menu Links, Containers, and Templates (see figure below).  The following sections detail the functionality of each Website Browser sub-tab.
